About this coffee<\/h3>\n

Sourced directly through Belco\u2019s local agency, this coffee is grown by smallholder producers<\/strong> in the highlands of Nari\u00f1o<\/strong>, Colombia\u2019s southernmost coffee-growing department. Farms here are tiny\u2014just 2 to 3 hectares on average\u2014and perched at extreme altitudes of up to 2100 metres<\/strong>, where cool, cloudy weather slows down cherry maturation, enhancing complexity in the cup.<\/p>\n

Nari\u00f1o\u2019s unique geography and climate make it one of the most highly regarded origins<\/strong> in Colombia. Despite representing only 4% of national production, its coffees are consistently among the most awarded\u2014thanks to small-scale cultivation, dedication to quality, and traditional washing methods.<\/p>\n

This particular lot reveals a cup profile that\u2019s both sweet and structured<\/strong>, with notes of apricot, lemon, rhubarb, panela, and creamy milk chocolate<\/strong>. A beautiful balance of brightness, sweetness, and body.<\/p>\n

Though parts of the region still face challenges related to illicit crops and instability, coffee has become a symbol of transformation and resilience<\/strong>. Direct trade helps sustain the local economy and empowers communities to invest in a better future.<\/p>\n
