Article 12 – Data Protection (GDPR)

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for processing Customer information is the Seller (La P’tite Cerise, a Belgian private limited liability company with its registered office at Avenue de Mérode 88, 1330 Rixensart, Belgium, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number BE0755.752.932).

2. Processing of Personal Data

The Seller is committed to respecting the privacy of its Customers. Customers have the right to be informed about how their personal data is collected when browsing the E-store (including mobile applications) or using the Seller’s services.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Customer data is used and the measures taken to ensure its confidentiality and security.

The Seller may collect data through various means:

  • Data voluntarily provided by the Customer

  • Data obtained via regulated access to public and authentic sources (e.g. the CBE – https://kbopub.economie.fgov.be)

  • Data obtained from the Customer’s own website

  • Data provided through the order form when purchasing from the E-store

  • Data collected during navigation or while using the Seller’s services (see “Cookie Management”)

Some data fields are mandatory. Where such data is required, refusal to provide it may result in denial of access to certain services or content.

All data is collected and processed in full compliance with Belgian legislation, in particular the Law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679).

By accepting this Privacy Policy, the Customer consents to the processing of their data under the terms set out herein.


3. Cookie Management

Cookies are used to facilitate access to the website, streamline navigation, and improve speed and usability. They may also personalise the site to match Customer preferences. Cookies further help analyse usage in order to identify and correct potential issues.

The E-store is configured to allow Customers to accept or refuse cookies, and to clearly notify when cookies are in use. Customers may refuse cookies but are advised that doing so may limit optimal browsing and service functionality.

Help functions in most browsers provide further information on managing cookie preferences.

All cookies are automatically deleted at the end of each session, with the exception of those that store language preferences.

Additionally, use of the Seller’s services may be logged. This may include:

  • IP address assigned at the time of connection

  • Dates and times of service access

  • Pages viewed

  • Browser used

  • Platform and/or operating system

  • Search engine and keywords used to reach the Seller’s site

  • Files downloaded

  • Language selection

  • Referring website

This data is only used to understand service usage statistics and to improve content. It is never used for profiling purposes.


4. Purpose of Data Processing

Data is collected and processed solely for specific and limited purposes, primarily to enable the sale and delivery of Products ordered on the E-store.


5. Data Retention Period

Data is retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the intended purposes and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.


6. Customer Rights

The Customer has the right to access, verify, and rectify their personal data at any time.


7. Data Disclosure

Some data may be shared with subcontracted service providers acting on behalf of the Seller and solely for the purpose for which the data was collected (e.g., invoice generation).
