About this coffee

This decaf coffee comes from smallholder farms across the Caldas department, a historic growing region in Colombia’s Eje Cafetero (Coffee Axis). The coffee is produced by members of the Caldas Cooperative, founded in 1960 and now supporting over 3,600 producers, mostly farming less than five hectares.

Decaffeination is carried out by Descafecol, a Colombian facility using the natural sugarcane EA process. In this method, caffeine is removed using ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane, along with steam and controlled temperature — no chemical solvents involved. The process preserves the original flavours while eliminating 99.9% of caffeine.

Grown between 1600 and 1950 metres, this washed decaf offers a smooth, chocolatey profile, rounded out by a gentle brown sugar sweetness.

A clean and comforting cup — the kind of decaf that lets the origin speak for itself.
