🍽️ Brewing tips

🔹 Traditional method (gourd & bombilla)

1. Fill the gourd ⅔ full with maté.

2. Tilt to create a slope and pour a little cold water into the hollow.

3. Insert the bombilla.

4. Pour hot water (70–80 °C) near the bombilla and sip until empty.

5. Refill with hot water and repeat until the flavour fades.

🔹 Standard method (teapot or mug)

• Water temperature: 100 °C

• Steeping time: 5–10 minutes

• Quantity:

  • 3–3.5 g per 200 ml

  • 14–17 g per litre

• Serving suggestion: Delicious plain, sweetened, with lemon or iced
