About this coffee
Grown in the remote region of Ywangan, in Myanmar’s eastern Shan State, this coffee is produced by the Pha Yar Gyi Kone community, home to around 150 farming families, mostly from the Danu ethnic group. Each household cultivates around 1.6 acres, delivering cherries by hand to be naturally dried on raised beds.
The quality is overseen by War War Htwe, both a producer and the community’s designated quality lead — ensuring consistency throughout post-harvest stages.
Ywangan holds protected geographical status, and is known for its bright, floral cup profiles. The coffee is also named in honour of the nearby Blue Lake, a pristine, emerald-hued body of water deep in the Myanmar jungle — a symbol of purity and calm.
This lot offers floral clarity, jasmine aromatics, and lush notes of lychee and tropical fruit, balanced by a natural sweetness.
An elegant, expressive coffee — a rare gem from Southeast Asia.
