About this coffee

Sourced from 600 outgrower farmers in the high-altitude Bona Zuria district of Sidamo, this coffee is processed at the Ayele Tulu Washing Station, situated at 2,190 masl. Founded in 2014, the station is known for its precision and commitment to quality — making it one of the highest and most respected in the region.

Only fully ripe cherries are selected for the anaerobic fermentation, which takes place in sealed tanks for 9 to 48 hours, with careful monitoring of sugar and pH levels. The cherries are then shade-dried on raised beds for 4 to 9 weeks, preserving complexity and sweetness.

This Grade 1 lot delivers a vibrant cup: floral and juicy, with pink fruit and plum notes, a touch of rose, and a sweet, candy-like finish.

A delicate and expressive Ethiopian — full of nuance and altitude-driven clarity.
